I'm Krystle Austin, the Principal here at the amazing Blake Manor Elementary School. BME has been my home for the past 8 years and as I continue to build my capacity as an instructional leader, it’s my greatest pleasure to continue to serve this wonderful community. Prior to this school year, I’ve served in many different roles including teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal and interim principal. In every opportunity I’ve been given as an educator has allowed me to build strong relationships with our families, scholars, staff and community. As a lifelong learner, I hope to instill that same passion and excitement for learning in all of our scholars. I believe that in order for scholars to reach their fullest potential they have to come to a school that is safe, supportive, encouraging, fun and conducive for learning. We share a mutual accountability to ensure that our scholars, teachers and staff look forward to coming to school every day and that our families trust the work that we do and are proud to be BME Bulldogs.
